Topic 8
Mothballs were not the invention of keeping bugs/insects away from us. however, researchers found out that termites actually also use mothballs ingredient ''naphthalene'' in their nest to keep potential pretator away. they did a research and found out that the termites enermy were not attracted to them when they are in the nest.
It is a great surprise that naphthalene has been found naturally associated with any insect species. humans use mothballs to keep insect away, and now insect also use mothballs(naphthalene) to keep away from other insects too.
